I am (Tracie)
Have you ever dreamed of changing your lifestyle, your profession, or your environment? Transformation always starts with changing how you think about yourself.
This is one of my favorite photos of myself, taken by my sister after setting eyes on the majesty of the Grand Canyon several years ago. As a single parent about to leave a secure, corporate marketing job to launch a small business in the holistic health field, having the luxury of travel was a goal that seemed way out of reach. Above my work desk for several years was an artist’s rendering of the Grand Canyon, which might as well have been the moon…it seemed so far away. As a newly minted entrepreneur, I taught martial arts and yoga and was a licensed massage therapist. It was tough trying to make ends meet and have anything left over at the end of the month.
Everything changed the day a client offered to pay for a years’ worth of services in advance. I used that money to take advanced training in Sedona, AZ then drove north to view the Grand Canyon. I invited my sister to join me, and that trip was a sacred journey, one that changed how I saw my past, present, and future.
Sixteen years later, I have sold my business, sold my house, and started freelance writing and social media job that can move with me. My goal is to live sustainably in a small RV, explore America, and inspire others to live out their dreams. Stay tuned for stories, tips, and inspiration to help you on your journey to freedom. Transforming your life IS possible.
My RV (Gypsy)
Are you free to live the life of your dreams? This is Gypsy, a 29′ (approx.250 sq ft) ultralight Coleman RV, and my full-time home on wheels.
At the RV dealership where I bought her, flies an enormous American flag. In my eyes, it symbolizes the freedom we have in the United States to explore alternative ways of thinking and living. Only at this point could a middle-aged woman have the freedom to live independently and simply in a small RV, traveling the highways and back roads of America, while blogging about her travels and inspiring others across the globe to live the life of their dreams.
My Truck (Rose)
Red Rose is a 2013 Chevy Silverado 4×4 that I picked up in mint condition with 20,000 miles on her. Since we’ll be towing only 6,500 lbs. fully loaded, this half ton model has the towing capacity to spare.
I love that it’s bright red, has all the basics, and is dependable since we’ll be boondocking (off-grid) as much as visiting National Parks and smaller campgrounds.
